We believe music can build the heart of a city—and that everyone deserves a way to keep making it.
How it began
The music didn’t stop when the celebration ended.
The Community Orchestra formed in 2023 in preparation for the 50th anniversary celebration of Little House on the Prairie.
Our first public performance was a flash mob at the Simi Valley Street Fair in October 2023. The anniversary event followed in March 2024.
Enthusiasm grew beyond that event. Musicians wanted to keep playing together, so the orchestra continued.

Why we keep playing
Different generations. A shared love of music.

School schedules change. People graduate. Life gets busy. Too often, opportunities to make music disappear. This community offers a way to keep playing—or to return—for the love of it, whatever career you pursue.
We perform mostly at public events, sharing the music with the community that brings us together.
